You should try buying one and then immediately cutting it in half…

My coolant reservoir just melted (it’s over 120 degrees where I’m at - it’s not even summer yet) and went to Amazon to get me new one & i just found out they made them in aluminum too. Got on here to learn more and found this thread.

Is that little tube on the side a sight tube? Should I get this?

I'm running a similar one to that, since when the previous owner swapped in hyline fenders some components got shifted around and running the stock overflow tank no longer became an option (and their solution was a poor one). It works fine, but you'll want to keep in mind that the tubing used for the sight glass will discolor and become brittle over time from the heat of the engine bay.
