Hi guys, I'm replacing the radiator on a 2003 Wrangler TJ 4.0L Auto. I thought at that point I might as well replace the pump and thermostat too so I followed Chris' post here: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/jeep-wrangler-tj-cooling-system-overhaul-faq.3397/
I found most of the part numbers on amazon. I'm in Australia so the radiator isn't available on Amazon so ordering from rockauto looks like a good option in Aus.

My question is, I went to my local Jeep dealer and got a quote for all the parts listed in that thread. They gave me a quote for some OEM part numbers that are different to the ones in that thread.. I know the Stant thermostat, Gates hoses and Hayden fan clutch part numbers will be different to OEM but things like:
  • Part number i was given for Water Pump: 68382492AA. Looks like the new version of 5012366AF?
  • Part number i was given for Radiator: 55037654AB. Last number is 4 instead of 3 in the above thread, what's the difference?
Also, is it worth replacing the thermostat housing?

If the T-stat housing is not pitted and in good shape, it should not make a difference. They aren't expensive if you want some new engine bling.

Yeah, they're pretty cheap, i might as well grab one.

You could try entering your 17-digit VIN at https://www.wermopar.com/ and see what it comes up with. The printed Mopar parts catalogs include part #'s for RHD Jeeps so maybe it might be recognised over here.

Thanks for that resource, i entered the VIN in and got the same part number as the thread i mentioned. Dealer must have given me an alternate part number. Also looks like I was right with the water pump, the other part number is to replace the other discontinued one. Thanks guys.
