Cowl vent scoop for 97

Does anyone make one of these for a 97? I can't find one because they all stop at 95 and start again at 98. I guess the 97 long vent was a bastard.

Wait, that’s got to be an error. Why would 98 be any different than 97?

It looks like, to me, that the cowl vent area on the 97 is wider than on other years. It spans a wider area across underneath the windshield.

Wow I did not know but yea it looks like the 1997 has larger cowl vent

I just replaced the cowl for a 98 and up. get them cheap on ebay.

I guess that could make the 1997 TJ at some point in time valuable and rare one year only model.

ha ha yeah, maybe one day it will be as valuable as a hemi cuda or something.................

Wow, this is a first to me! The cowl is easy to swap out, I'd probably swap it out for a 98+ cowl in that case, since I see no options for a 97 model. I guess now we know why!

Did anyone ever find a cowl vent hood for a 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ? The one that was on mine cracked and I had to remove it. I'd like to replace it but I can't find one anywhere. The are approximately 29 inches long and about 7 inches wide. I can't find one anywhere. Even the ones that say they fit, don't.

I wouldnt put one back on! with my 06 it left 2 dents when I put the hood up to the windshield
