The front of my hood appears to have very tiny “cracks”. They look like little small hairs that could be wiped off however if you touch them with your nail, they’re through the sealant. Looks like it keeps getting worse/more appear......

What is this? Cracked paint? Cracked seal coat or clear coat?

And how do i fix this.

Mine is doing that too in the exact same place. Your jeep is white (much worse with metallics) and is less susceptible to this. It's clear coat failure due to sunlight, out here in Colorado it's hard to find a vehicle that's over ten years old without some paint damage. More sunny days and higher elevation is hard on paint. Keep it buffed and waxed and when it looks bad from 20 feet away repaint it.

Ahh, the dreaded Chrysler (and others) clear coat issues. I don't know why some are better than others but there have been various poor examples over the last couple of decades. Maybe we're beyond that today but who want's to trade in their TJ for something newer ?

All I can think about now is the hundreds, if not thousands, of maroon minivans I saw back in the 1990s with several stripes from front to back on the roof from the factory paint line but for some reason I can't find one picture of those stripes online.

I’ll get some soon. But you think it’s front washing too much? Or do these clear coats go every few years.

Risks of not getting this done soon? Chipped paint?
It could stem from neglect, or just lots of sun.
Keeping paint clean, out of the sun, and coated with a sealant, wax, and ceramics is easy insurance for paint.

hey y’all. i have attached photos. help for fixing and help for timing on when to do so.
