I have replaced 5 crankshaft position sensors in about 6 months. We have checked everything. Need help why it’s going out. Getting about 1000 out of each one. They have been both Momar and parts store brand. Hasn’t made a difference

Are you inspecting the sensors every time you take them out to replace them? If so, do they have any visible signs of damage, excessive crud or oil on them, etc.?
For what it’s worth, sensors other than Mopar are known to not work well with our Jeeps. Using anything but an OE Mopar sensor will almost always result in issues.

I've had good luck with the Echlin brand CPS from NAPA, their sensors seem to hold up well and although not generally cheap they are readily available.
The last one I put in were Mopar and did last longer. There was what looked like a little break dust on the metal plate. Someone said there is supposed to be a cardboard shim on them when you install. Haven’t seen on of them
I'd have to take mine apart to look, but I believe there is indeed supposed to be a shim. Maybe someone like @Jerry Bransford knows for sure. It's been so long since I replaced mine that I honestly can't recall.
What year is your TJ? If it's an 05 or 06, I'd remove the OPDA and inspect it to see what sort of shape it's in.

I've replaced several crank position sensors as well. I haven't tried Mopar yet but I will the next time one goes out. The only issue I seem to have that I have noticed is a little resistance in my feedback wire. This is likely due to some corrosion. I haven't traced back the wire yet to locate the problem area. I don't know if that could make a sensor go bad or not.
I've had a difficult time locating parts that actually work right and or fit my TJ. I tired a dorman sensor that was too long. Two different sensors from AZ that had too large a diameter, by roughly 0.40mm! The last BWD sensor from AAP was DOA out of the box. At least the sensor went bad in my yard and not on a trail.
My wife was about to have my "Shade Tree Mechanic" license revoked but I finally got the jeep running again!
