Well i decided to start a build thread and we will see how it goes.

I bought a 2004 jeep tj sport in khaki with a factory hardtop. Completely stock besides 31s and a 2in buget boost lift.

It came with a dana 44 rear axle.
Dana 30 front.
3.73 gears
31s
2 in buget boost
97000 miles on the clock
interior was spotless.
Nv3550 5 speed.

This was my first ever manual Transmission and it was a lot of fun. Also apparently a manual transmission came really easy to me.

Alot of the things ive done so far will be more compressed.

Nice looking TJ, and welcome to the forum!

There’s a bunch of good guys here with knowledge a plenty.
You’ll get good advice with what ever you want to do with your new toy!

Enjoy!

The first order of business was to get rid of the tires and wheels that were on there i went with what i belive were procomp 69 series(forgive me that was over a year ago. And some bfg ko2 31s

The next thing i did was invest in some good brakes. The future goal was 35s so i went ahead and bought the 15 inch big brake kit from black magic brakes.

The install was fun and i enjoyed getting to understand the ins and out of how it all goes together

The next things i did was install a kenwood kmm-bt328 radio. It make music a lot less of a hassle then i installed a new shift knob for the manual Transmission

Next in the build i wanted to remove the carpet but i hated the look of the inside of the jeep without carpet. Also i tend to make a mess so i started looking into options. I hate the typical bedliner texture, its Rough and uncomfortable. During my searching i came across monstaliner.

(I know a lot of people on the forum despise bedliner but for my application and what i wanted it was perfect.)

I went ahead and ordered a gallon of the blood bath red to do the interior to see how i liked it.

The color of bloodbath red was really a cool color. It literally looked like blood in the gallon.

After i recived it i started ripping the jeep apart. (Let it be know the only painting ive done is house and rattle can so i thought it be easy but alot of work)

Here is how i ripped the jeep apart.

I still have to re-do a small section due to things i learned and forgetting to remove the metal drain plugs 😂

Im struggling to find the pictures of it done i know i have them.

Sadly this will have to do as i cannot seem to locate them. This is recent right before a trip to payson arizona

So big things are happening to the jeep right now. Its in peices after a recent camping trip as i wanted to have fun with it before lockers. So i bought a bad lands habor freight winch. Well lets just say my plan worked and thankfully i bought the winch

Next up for the jeep is a savvy 4 inch lift, 1.25 inch savvy body lift, more 1 inch motor mounts, rock jock steering, track bars, polish turd (just for fun) ,super short slip yoke eliminator, tom woods driveshaft, new clutch,5.13 gears paired with ox manual shift lockers front and rear, and im working on some half doors to use as trail doors.Im also trying to make a cool/functional breather set up and make it clean as well as adding a real one to the tranmission.

Ive currently only done the transmission, transfer case and im working on the gears and other fitment issues now.
