I was poking around under my 2005 TJ and notice there was some undesirable contact with a few components of the steering system. First, the mounting post for the steering dampener was contacting the steering linkage. So I reversed the post. Is this set up okay, or is there a better way? Second, the grease fitting on the joint connecting the drag link to the Pittman arm is making slight contact with the steering linkage. Not sure why. Is it a drop Pittman atm perhaps? Confused and troubled. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That is a dropped pitman arm. Unless your track bar is also dropped, then you need to go back to the stock arm.

As far as finding and sorting out other areas of contact, remove the coils and jounce bumpers and cycle the suspension throughout it's entire range of motion with a floor jack. Doing so will show you where the problems are.

Is it possible that there isn't enough lift in the front suspension to allow proper clearance? I bought it with a slight lift? I'm guessing 2". My friend sold me the Currie and installed it my self, as well as the track bar. Is there a way to identify whether or not it's a drop Pittman arm?

You have a dropped pitman arm.

Measure your springs. Factory was 12" front and 8" rear. Anything more is lift.

Currie steering is intended for a 4" lift, though it can be run with less. I believe they also recommend 2"of bump stop extension. Though I run mine with 1.375" extension.

That is absolutely a dropped Pitman arm you have installed, and because your driver's side track bar mount is not dropped a corresponding amount, that dropped Pitman arm needs to be replaced with the factory OE Pitman arm. You undoubtedly have bump-steer at this point... which is where the steering is moved (bumped) left-right as the front axle moves up/down over bumps/dips in the road. Replacing your dropped Pitman arm with the factory Pitman are will cure the bump steer.

The driver's side of that steering damper isn't mounted in its usual position, a photo to show the entire damper (aka steering stabilizer) and how it is mounted on the driver's side would be very helpful.

This is how they are normally installed on a Currie steering system...
