Dana 35 Open or TracLok Identification

Good Morning,

My old screen name and password didn't seem to work. I have a 97 TJ with Dana 35 rear diff, 52111760 AB 3 07 5993.
I would like to identify if this is the open version(which I think it is) or the Trac-Lok version.

Yes I know this is not a robust differential, my thought is to install Powertrax No-Slip. There are different versions for each differential, the Trac-Lok version will not work in the Open version.

Clarification on how to identify the external identifying differences is appreciated. My thought is to not use this for off roading, simply to help in snow/etc.

I'm being lazy by not opening the diff up, before I order the part

jack up the back and spin the tires, both same direction = LSD. one foreward one backward = open or broken lsd.

Installing a lunch box locker such as the Powertrax No Slip would be fine with tires up to 33". A full locker such as an ARB or Detroit should NOT be considered or you risk the chance of snapping the splines off the axles.

Your Dana 35's stock axle shafts are NOT strong enough for any kind of locker. Even with your 33" tires. Really. And make no mistake, the No-Slip is a true locker not a limited slip differential.
