I know there's plenty of threads about this but they seem to cover a slightly different issue than mine. When my vent controls are set to off, the defrost vent continues to blow air. Everything works as it should otherwise. I'm able to switch to other vent settings (i.e. when I switch to footwell or dash vents, the defroster vent seems to stop blowing air) It only seems to remain "on" when the controls are set to off altogether.
While it's set to off but still blowing, I can change the blower speeds and the heat/AC settings. The air coming out of the vent responds accordingly. Any ideas where to start with this? Wondering if it's a blend door issue rather than an electrical one?
