Did I buy the wrong AC control panel?

Bought this in the local market, hoping to replace my older, slider-style one. But now that I look more closely, I see no options with a 'snowflake' icon. Does this control panel only work on TJs without AC?

Yeah that's a non-ac model. you may have a different challenge in that the 97-98 i believe with the slider-style aren't directly exchanged with the later model.

You know that you can't just swap the control unit correct? You would need to swap everything to get the 99 up style controls. I would just find a 97/98 style (I know they are ridiculously priced)

Yes, you bought the wrong one.

Even if you had the "right" one, it is not going to be as simple as replacing the face panel. There are 6 functions on the "slider" style, while the "dial" style has 7.

Why do you even want to replace it? Everybody knows the sliders are better than the dials.

It was local and cheap and I thought it might come in handy if mine ever gave out. Like @P man said above, the slider styles are more expensive.

All good: it was cheap and I just grabbed it "in case". Will sell to someone else.
