Differences OEM vs Bed Rug

My '01 Sport 4.0L has the original 20 year old carpeting and I am considering replacing the carpet to better control the heat and road noise coming thru the floor.
For those of you that have already installed the Bed Rug carpet kits; did you notice a difference in heat and road noise ?
Appreciate opinions and all other recommendations.

I'm not sure I noticed a reduction in road noise only because the TJ is so loud as it is that it's hard to actually measure.

The mold resistance of the bed rug makes it worth it IMHO, and for what it's worth it is noticeably thicker, and with the way it's made it is no doubt easier to clean.

There’s also the ACC carpet kits available. Bedrug is only one light grey color whereas ACC offers several.
