Do Bartact seat covers breath better than Bestop?

I have had the Bartact for a month now. My seats are vinyl. I live in lower Alabama = hot and humid. I have not been burned by them after sitting in the sun and they are all black. My back side and back still sweat but if I lean forward for a little the seat covers dry out very fast. So yeah, I'd say they breath well. I went with the mole style covers but have yet to put the bags on them, I may not as I put my soft doors right behind my seats and use a trunk organizer to hold them up.

Overall, fit is great, they do not move at all, they are thick and comfortable, I like the zipper pockets, they dry quickly. If I had to buy them again I would but without the mole system.

Anyone in southeast Texas can tell you about heat and humidity, but until you actually experience a heat index constantly over 115-120 mixed with exhaust fumes in traffic, while trying to be cool by having no doors or windows, you have not experienced “severe swamp ass” in its entirety yet. I know I’m not alone on this by any stretch, but once you do get moving, having the ability for air to circulate between you and the seat is nothing short of glorious. I too have no experience with the Bestop covers, but I can’t tell you how much I appreciate my Bartac covers, and the air they pass.
In a place where we have what most consider “summer”, then we have July and August after that, (which has got to be one of the steps before Hell) even at a slow speed I can feel air through the seat. I have mulled over the possibility of rigging up one of those misting devices inside the cockpit, while tossing the back seat in lieu of a water bladder to draw from, but I’d also have to invest in some quick drying clothes to go anywhere. What’s funny is having somebody notice my left arm and leg is more tanned than the right, and my wife has the opposite issue.
I love the Bartacs!
I’m in southern Alabama and you described the weather perfectly. We probably don’t get as hot as Texas but close. I’m gonna buy these seat covers. Thanks!

I installed a set of Bartacts a few months ago... I was originally going to do tan, but the wait for those was 3+ months and I wanted something now for our summer trips to protect my seats from the kids & dogs. I ended up begrudgingly going with black just because they were in stock, and I thought I'd be regretting it because I run with no doors all summer in the Utah sun.

After installing them though I'm incredibly happy. I don't know how they make them, but climbing into my TJ after they've been sitting in 100 degree sun for several hours isn't that bad. They breathe very well, but take that for what it's worth in a climate that has next to zero humidity. It might be a different deal entirely in Florida.

I got the "tactical" model and really like them. I did not need the molle even though I'm sure I will use it. I just did not like the unstitched look of the base line. Too plain.
I love all the molle straps! I didn't think I was going to use them much, but I managed to fill all the pouches that came with the set and have since added a few more.
