Do Pintlers still have cracking issues

I'm considering a set of 17" JL Pintlers for my TJ (yes - with adapters).

I've read they had some cracking issues back in 2014ish. I assume that was the TJ or JK Pintler and not the current JL model.

These wheels are expensive enough that I thought I'd ask if they still had cracking issues. I can't find a single current article on them still cracking.

I believe that the cracking issues were indeed fixed later on, and there was a way to tell apart the later versions? Something to do with the supplied center caps or the stamping on the inside.

If a spoke has AEV on it, it’s the redesigned one. Without the letters, it’s harder to pinpoint if it’s from the time when there were the cracking issues.
