Does anyone know the bolt sizes for the torque box?

So I’m finally putting in my torque boxes… the three bolts towards the front are not quite right though..
I took one of me old ones to the hardware store and matched it up with a new metric bolt but it does not fit.. I got my parts from quadratech and was wondering if anybody knew the correct size for these bolts so I can get this finished up. The wife is getting Pissed that it’s taking me so long to finish this project up.. she hasn’t been on a Jeep ride in months lol..

I believe they are 1/2-20 in the torque boxes for the body mounts.

The body mount bolts? What bolts are you referring too?

Body mounts are 1/2-13 (not 1/2-20)

Then there are the fender support bolts. Those are an M8-1.25, if my memory serves.

There are two torque boxes for the body mounts, 3 actually. 1 on each side for the 3 body mounts under the doors and one under the tail gate for the rear pair of body mounts. The 3 on the sides are 1/2-13 and the 2 at the rear are 7/16-14 which also match the 2 at the shock/gas tank crossmember and the 1 under the grill.

That set off an interesting little brain tickle. I can only think of 23 places on a TJ where a 1/2-20 fastener is used and they all have the same job.

I got the body mount bolts.. it’s the ones that are m8x1.25 that I’m unsure about… I ran one in and it got stuck… tried backing it out and it snapped off.
Was wondering if the after market torque bot may have a different size

What location are you using the M8 bolts?

The front three in the new torque box… mike h said fender support bolts… so I guess that’s what we’ll call them. I just chased the threads with a tap and it seems to be m8 bolts.. thanks for all your replies
