Door lock stuck

I know its not pretty but it works.
I went through all the threads about the lock getting stuck and tried cleaning and lubricating, though I didn't wanted to mess around with the locking system cause I'm a noob. Just tied a fishing line to the small
2nd image is not mine but tied the fishing line to this rod
It is not permanent but maybe...
