Door surrounds for Trektop

I made a WTB post about this but I'm hoping to get some more information. I just bought a used bestop trektop but unfortunately it didn't come with door surrounds.

I called bestop about this and they said I must use their door surrounds and factory doesn't work.

Has anyone tried to use the factory surrounds with the trektop? Just figured id reach out before I spend the $150 dollars more for their door surrounds.

Alternatively does anyone know how to tell the difference between the own and trektop surrounds?

I’m not positive on this, but it may have to do with the sunrider feature and how the top attaches to the rear/top area of the door surround.

I never had an OEM top on mine, but I did have a trektop NX for a few days before I removed it and returned it. (Didn’t like the look as much as I thought I would). I put a Supertop NX on after that. If my memory is correct, I think there was a difference in the door surrounds between those two. The part where the top pins to the surround. I could be wrong though.

I just checked the instruction sheets for each top on bestops website. They do list different part numbers for the door surrounds between the Trektop and Supertop.

Do you know anyone with and OEM softop and door surrounds that would let you test fit The surrounds?
