Bought a 03 TJ a few years back and sadly only had it for a few months before it was totaled. Had been watching local ads and saw an LJ pop up and jumped on it quickly. Was an older gentlemen's who unexpectedly passed away. The inside was impeccable and the frame appeared to be solid. The paint on the hood is shot and one fender rusted, still deciding on what direction to go here.
I sold the hard top and picked up a used soft top and frame from Facebook. Enjoyed the hard top, but storage of it was a giant pain and it's a summer vehicle anyway. Decided to put on a small lift which lead to a discovery with an issue with the frame. When drilling some drain holes it was discovered that there was some hidden rot. To hopefully get ahead of it the rust was cut out and frame repaired and painted. The Savvy bodylift, Procomp springs, and Rancho shocks went on without a ton of issues.
The plan now is to get the MORryde tailgate hinges installed, fix the sound system, and figure out a gameplan on the rusted fender and overall paint.
