Downsizing the lift on my TJ

I recently bought a 99 Jeep TJ with what seems to be a 4” lift. I measured the coils and they measure 16” in the front and 12” in the back. I’m not a fan of the highway drive, it starts vibrating and sways at around 85/90kmph. I’m going down from 33x12.5x15 Baja atz tires to 31x10.5x15 bf Goodrich A/T ko2 tires. Getting them installed and balanced and aligned(will also ask if they’ll look at the steering and suspension components). I still want to downsize the lift to around 2inches. What I’m wondering is what I’d need to get to do that. Would I need to get a full kit or could I just get smaller coils to have them installed?
Im no mechanic, in fact all I know is from these threads. The only branding I see is warrior products 60.5mm and I’ve read that they’re good for 2-4 inch lifts. I’m attaching pics to help see what I’m working with. Any help would be amazing.

You'll need springs and the appropriate length shocks to go with said springs. You'll also need to replace the lower control arms with some factory style arms, or get adjustable aftermarket arms. Crown factory style replacements will be easier on your wallet. You'll need shorter front sway bar end links. Do you know if the axles have been re-geared for the 33's? Looks like you'll need some new jounce bumpers and address some rust issues as well.

The color of the coils could be several different aftermarket manufacturers such as Rubicon Express....
It appears that your trac bar bracket on the axle side has been redrilled to center the front differential under the body.
You also appear to have a transfercase skidplate lowering spacer between the skid plate and the frame for better driveshaft angles due to the amount of lift installed.
IF you are looking at lowering to 2" of lift; there are many to choose from such as ProComp and Old Man Emu to name just a few.

Chances are you might be able to get rid of those t-case skid lowering spacers too. Hopefully those skid bolts won't be too rusty and break off on you.

I would even start an ad to trade someone for shorter springs, shocks and smaller tires. More people looking to go larger.

Make sure it doesn't have a drop pitman arm or you'll have to remove that too. You could probably get stock springs, shocks, control arms and sway bar end links used for next to nothing or free. I gave away many sets over the years. Then just add a $100 BL for 31s. Otherwise..........

sorry for the late reply I felt the sudden urge for a tetanus shot...all the above is good advice only thing I want to add is the missing bump stops need addressed either way. I would check with rock auto they had some really good prices on stock componets like moog springs etc

Yes. For that price it might be worth trying.
