Drive shaft question

I have a 2002 tj with a 3" lift, unknown brand and 33's. I had a vibration at 55mph and removed the front drive shaft and the vibration went away, the question I have is do I need a new Longer than stock drive shaft because of the lift or can I go with stock drive line New to jeeps

Stock length shaft should be adequate with a three inch lift. You need to inspect the shaft and correct any issues and after that you may have to check you pinion angle and see if it needs adjustment as well.

Stock length should be fine, but there are other causes for a front driveline vibration that don't call for dropping $350.

If your lift left you with too much caster you may have vibration due to insufficient pinion angle. A new shaft won't fix that.

There are also 3 u joints and a centering yoke that are wear items. A new shaft will fix it but so will $90 in parts and an hour of quality time with some sockets and a big hammer.

The only thing that would truly call for a new shaft is if the splines are worn out or the tube is bent.

You've successfully narrowed down your issue to the front pinion/shaft.

Since you've got the shaft out, inspect it and make sure everything looks good.

My bets are on incorrect front pinion angle.
Adjust it by a few degrees, and see if the issue gets better/worse.
