Last night was shootin' the breeze with a buddy (mechanical engineer) who has a TJ SE. We were talking about work I have been doing on my TJ and the subject of torque values came up. I mentioned that I use Anti-seize to help reduce the chances of dealing with stuck and corroded bolts and nuts. He asked if I reduced the amount of torque I apply when using anit-seize or lube "wet torque". He mentioned that it was generally accepted that you reduce the torque by approximately 25% when you use lube or anti-seize. Well of course as soon as we were done talking I jumped on the inter web and found a plethora of info regarding this subject. My question is does anyone reduce the amount of torque applied to fasteners on your TJ when using anti-seize? Attached is a document I found on antiseize.com.
