heat ring gear in toaster oven 375 deg. for 20 min. and place over dowelled carrier as per photos. Leave carrier overhanging the bench so bolts can be inserted without having to rotate unit. After all cools down I removed each bolt individually to apply red Loctite. You know the rest.

Be sure to not let any wood chips from the dowels (no matter how small ) get into the holes as they can interfere with the bottoming of the bolts.
