After having my share of Jeeps since my first one, I’ve finally stepped up and bought my dream Jeep. After a typical FB Marketplace deal gone bad, I ended up making a 2 day trip to South Georgia to pick up this 2004 LJ, black with half doors. Has 171k miles on it and its in really great shape and seems pretty mechanically sounds so far. Definitely have future plans for it, but just just going to take them on as they come. First parts ordered has been a BedRug kit (Has a cheap bedlined interior) and Holley 7” LED headlights. Also need a new radio, current one lacks bluetooth. Want new bumpers, but always been a Savvy fan, wanting to wait to see what they come up with. I’ll probably end up putting on a factory bumper for now.

If Savvy isn't an option, check out member @Fluxor and his bumpers.

Got the BedRug kit installed. Looks so much better. Started cutting/buffing the paint and found some more crows feet other than the hood. Not too worried at the moment, lots to do before addressing that. Just knocking off all the haze that comes with black paint. Still need to get that footprint gas pedal removed, but it’s actually a kit, not just a clip-on…

Got some @Fluxor parts installed on the Jeep. Rear bumper and A-pillar light mounts. Used Steel-It new charcoal color for the bumper, like it against the black.

Also been been polishing out the hazed paint. Quickly learned the paint has some pretty heavy defects, so i didn't go full hardcore correction on it, just bringing back some depth to it.

I had steel it grey on my old black Jeep for the fenders and rear bumper, one of my favorite color schemes to this day!
