I lifted my jeep 2.5 inches and looking for shop to line it up near upstate South Carolina, Clemson4wheel gave me a schedule of july 8 was the first open date in their schedule, Was hoping to get done before that
True, and the only thing that can be aligned on a TJ without aftermarket parts is its toe-in which is a very easy thing to do. With a modicum of care your resulting toe-in will be just as accurate as the most experienced alignment guy can produce on the very latest laser-guided alignment rack. Literally without exaggeration.
Easiest long term method I have seen involves 1/4"-1/2" plywood and bungee cords.
Cut plywood big and tall enough to sit flushed on face of the mounted tires and also lay on edge on the ground.
Use bungee cords to keep said plywood tightly against tires.
Measuring tape for the front edge and then measuring tape for the back edge.
Make sure your toe-in is up to spec.
