Lol! Yeah Uwharrie is central NC, but there are some great trails. WNC including the Appalachian, Blue Ridge, and Black Mountain ranges, has many 5 and 6 thousand foot peaks with incredible scenery, but no elevation like the Rockies and Sierra ranges. We call that clay ‘red’, and it definitely leaves a mark!
