Not all of us (myself included) see the point in a full-size truck.

I agree I am not a fan of the absolute absurdity of some of these pickups. I get a lot of people haul huge things but just like JKs, most are for show. I've always been a fan of the ranger but many generations were crappy engine wise I've been told by many. I totally love the raptor. If this is sold I might just get me a truck!

I used to have a Ranger FX4 Level II. It was a great truck, and just the size for my needs. It had the 4.0 engine which I never had any issues with. However, the 3.0 engine in those older Rangers is garbage. It's honestly slower than the 4 cylinder in my opinion, and it's sourced from a Ford Taurus, haha. Those 3.0 engines are just the biggest pieces of crap.

It would be nice to have the Ranger come back and give us that smaller size pickup truck we've been missing.

I love my truck...but I haul stuff all the time. I looked at a mid sized, but for the price, there just isn't any reason to go with a mid sized. Why pay 95 percent of the cost for 66 percent of the capability?

hmmmm. I use the hell out of mine. It pulls my 30' travel trailer, my 12' ATV trailer and now my TJ. So some people do have a use for them.

I love my truck...but I haul stuff all the time. I looked at a mid sized, but for the price, there just isn't any reason to go with a mid sized. Why pay 95 percent of the cost for 66 percent of the capability?

I call my step dad, he's got a full-size. But he uses it for hauling his rafts around.

I'm bashing the guys who have a full size truck, but don't use it to haul anything. You know, a Dodge Ram, full size, Cummins engine... But never using it for anything other than cruising around in. Seems like a common occurrence here.

I didn't think I was truck bashing either. I like a lot of trucks. I specifically said it's just like the JKs to me. Many DO use their trucks but a huge amount don't ever put anything in the back. I see too many where the bed is totally scratch free and spotless. Just like there are a lot of Jk owners that are "poser Jeep owners" that don't wheel and especially don't even wave, but not all of them.
