I have a 2006 LJ Rubicon. Over the weekend a buddy and I installed an Artec front axle truss. For the install I removed the breather, the air line, and the locker sensor. Now the front locker is engaged and won’t disengage. After a quick google search and I found that I shouldn’t have pulled the locker switch out of the housing. Has anyone came up with a way to install the switch without pulling the locker out of the housing?

Also if I pull the locker switch and put a plug in it’s place will the locker disengage?

Thanks

The pumpkin will need to go out in order to install the switch. Then a small stick with a string attached can be used to hold the switch open until the pumpkin is back in.

Pulling the sensor out and plugging its hole will allow the locker to disengage. I'll post information tomorrow with a couple photos of how to get it reinstalled but the carrier (locker) will have to be removed to do so.

I'm still trying to figure out how you got the plunger past the flange on the actuator. If you can't install one without pulling the locker part way out, not quite sure how you can get one out.

It doesn't sound like the sensor button is on the correct side of the actuator flange that would lock the sensor in place.
