I am stumped.

I replaced my front pinions seal about 2200 miles ago and it has failed. The angle appears to be correct and I had the shaft balanced prior to the install. Not sure what brand of seal, cost 17.00 from O'Reillys. I don't feel any vibration. I have only off roaded in sand 2 or 3 times, sadly. Other than the seal being bad from the start or a poor install on my part I have no answer.

I appreciate any insight.

Try again, I've had hard times with seals on my Dana 30 for some reason, make sure that the pinion yoke seal surface is smooth and you are torquing the pinion nut properly. I think at one point I had to replace my yoke

Thanks for the reply. I found very light pocking in a very small area on the yoke so I will replace it.
