Frozen tie rod

Today I went to the local NTB to get my steering aligned. They were able to adjust the drag link and get my passenger side aligned, but they said that the tie rod was frozen, so they couldn't adjust.
They recommended that I get a replacement tie rod + ends, which they can install.

Obviously that's not the cheapest option, so before I go out and buy the parts, I'm going to see if can get it loose myself.

I'm currently soaking it in penetrating oil, but I have no idea how to go about unsticking it. Any advice?

Also, assuming I can't get it, is it feasible to install the new tie rod myself, or is that a professional job? Which tie rod do you recommend? I'm not looking for much of an upgrade.

P.S. I was not charged for the half alignment, but it does drive better, albeit slightly crooked.

ya do the zj upgrade and then u will just have new parts. U can do a alignment by yourself. Look at the how to section on the forum. I think crown has this zj upgrade with tie rods a drag link all in one.

Buy the Moog and use the forum to do it yourself.

Use Kroil or Liquid Wrench several times over a few days. Spray the slots at the ends of the tie rod. Give it time to work into the threads,a day or two, and don't waste your time using WD40 or PB-Blaster, neither of which are good penetrants. Then use a big set of water pump pliers to get it turning.

Once you have it off lubricate the threads with antiseize so this won't happen again.
