I'm in the process of replacing the fuel pump in my 1998 TJ. I pulled apart the OEM assembly and replaced the pump with a new Bosch pump, but when I went to put it back together I noticed that the rubber cap on one end of the metal tube that connects the pump with the fuel filter was missing (see picture). Without that rubber seal the pump can't maintain enough fuel pressure to get gas through the filter. I've tried searching the internet and calling local part houses, but no one seems to have or know where to find a replacement part. Does anyone here know where one could source a new part? Are there any workarounds? Please note, 2005-2006 TJs have a different style fuel pump.

Update: I ended up cutting a piece of rubber fuel line with a large enough inner diameter to fit snuggly to the bottom of the fuel filter in place of the metal piece, with a hose clamp holding it onto the fuel pump. I took it for a test drive today, so far so good.
