Fuses missing?

Hi all,

Just got my hands on my first Jeep, a manual 2005 Wrangler TJ and I am stoked about it. While looking over the thing and trying to make sure the previous owner had taken care of it I found the fuse box has multiple fuses missing. Some of the missing spots do have metal contacts for a fuse to fit. Do I need to put some fuses in these spots?

Not all of the spaces are utilized. If you look on the inside of the cover it should show which spaces are utilized and which aren't. If you don't have the cover the Factory service manual is available in the TJ Resources section (I don't know if anything is different in the Aussie import TJ fuse box): https://wranglertjforum.com/threads...-fsm-technical-documentation.4618/#post-62640

If your in australia then check out the regional forums - there are others there and I am guessing yours is RHD so there are some 'peculiarities'

A fuse needs two terminals. I see a bunch with a single terminal, which is the bussed (+12V in) contact, but no second terminal, which is the fused, or output, terminal. I only see one fuse with two terminals, and that would be the only one I see that might need a fuse:

Everything that's missing should not be there with the exception of one. The only one I see missing is what @sab pointed out. I believe #28 should have a 10 amp fuse in it, assuming you have a manual.
