I’m new to the TJ, purchased a 2001 a week ago after totaling my YJ, today I put a B&M short throw shifter in and noticed a 1/2” gap between floor and console that previous owner had taped up with black tape, is this normal? Or am I missing some lower molding or weatherstripping. Thanks

I think I figured it out, watched a B&M shifter install vid, and saw that there is a inner lever boot, that should be there 🙄 which mine didn’t have, this being gone is what allowed the hot air in, $12 fix on Amazon. Thanks everyone!
