Gentex 177 rearview mirror windshield bracket?

I picked up a Gentex 177 rearview mirror more than a year ago, it was just sitting there on a guy's bench in a pile of random junk, and he didn't want it.
Today I finally decided to install it.
I have no idea what it came out of, I don't know the guy so I can't call him and ask, I was there to buy other junk.

I'm not concerned about the wiring, that I can figure out easy enough.
But........... it's the easier part that I can't figure out.....
I've always driven older vehicles I thought all mirror glass mounts where the same, until today.
Mine in my '99 TJ does not work with the Gentex

Anybody know what bracket I need, or what vehicles the 177s where originally in so I can locate a bracket?

I think I've read and reread all the mirror threads on here, and apparently, I'm the only one unable to jump over this little hurdle on my own!

I installed one in my 2005 tj. It originally came from an older Tahoe/Suburban. It installed fine using the original TJ mount.

In my travels I'm going to see if I can find a Suburban bracket to try, but I figured I would post a photo of the two mirrors. Might help someone in the future.

Top: 1999 TJ
Bottom: Gentex 177

You can probably go to your local autozone and find the correct one.

Drop in on your local windshield replacement shop. I bet they have what you need, and probably would glue in the right part for a few bucks. Takes a bunch of guessing out of the process.

I’ve found them at the local auto parts store, packaged with the glue for the repair.

Just get the repair kit for a Chevy Suburban.
