I just finished installing my Uniden CB radio with a 3' Firestick antenna. I used the antenna mount that goes behind the tail light on the drivers side. After getting it all done, it sure seems like the antenna has a lot of "leverage" on the mount and that it's really easy to flex the sheet metal of the tub by moving the antenna (antenna has a base spring). I'm just wondering if anyone has had any trouble with cracking of the tub metal by the tail light after using this antenna mount? Thanks.

I've had mine on for about 5 months now and it gets knocked around pretty regular. I haven't noticed any ill effects from it. I even had it off the other day to put on some corner armor on and didn't notice any tub flex or signs of damage. I don't remember the brand of the antenna I used, but I would fully expect the fiberglass parts of it to break off before anything on the tub or mount.
