I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler. I have replaced the fuel pump and crank sensor. Jeep Fix has my ECM right now checking it. My ECM might be ok. My question is could the ground on the block cause me strange stalling problems if is was too much covered in oil? I am tired of throwing money at it.

Grounds are important, but oil would build up around it rather than blocking it unless you're finding it to be loose.

My money would be on the PCM unless you have other wiring issues (which are fairly easy to trace out). A couple common locations for wiring rub issues are a bolt at the back of the top of the engine and between the bell housing and firewall - have you checked those?

I have not, just the wires that come off the negative to the block. I plan to look at it harder this weekend when i have more time.

Hopefully it's easy to spot or wranglerfix gets back to you with an answer. I had this issue 5-6 years ago and was at my whit's end about what to do. The wranglerfix pcm got me back in action.

Personally I'd send your PCM to @Wranglerfix

What's your actual problem? Jeep won't start?

What's your fuel pressure?

Is it cranking?

It starts and runs when cold, dies while driving and will not restart for a bit. Wrangler Fix has my PCM now, I spoke with him yesterday. He was still checking it but was not sure it was the problem, as of yesterday. It cranks but no fire seems to be get thru.

Have you been able to monitor/log live ODB data through the dies while driving?

Is the dies while driving bit have any consistency...same time period...RPM... turning a certain direction...

I'd definitely be checking fuel pressure. It needs to be 50. The regulator might be out and you have too little or way too much.

My 97 ran on 30 psi but the PCM made it super rich and my gas mileage dropped.
