Half door without the upper is always a classic look for the TJs. It adds a unique edge to a classic jeep.
Topless with it in the beach, guys always look at it as a fun outdoor eye catching, stands out, turns heads, like a cute blonde TJ.

I don't know if you have the slate interior that you are trying to match; I do and I am. If you need it, and find a paint for the plastic interior panel, let me know. I'll do the same.
So I am running these 1/2 doors and rode to work about 70 miles and enjoyed the top down. 20% chance of rain they said. lol Of course when I left work I looked at the radar and there was no missing some huge storm rolling in with floods and all kinds of crap. A couple of things. 1. I am slower than hell putting my top, door sides, and all that up, since I am still new to it. 2. I am surprised how quiet my TJ is with soft windows. I do have my new top that I just put on (twill), so that doesn't hurt, but overall I am pretty impressed. 3. Don't unzip your side window doing 70mph. lol It wants to fly out, not in. You can unzip, but carefully. lol Overall I am happy with 1/2 doors and soft windows in a rain storm. Actually amazed. I may never put my full doors on again to be honest.
HUGE shout out to BFG K02's in the downpour. I was rolling past everyone in 2wd with no hydroplaning. Really a great all around tire. Highly recommend if you want the best.

my half door only TJ came out of Pittsburgh last year and I made it through last winter no problem.
As I was driving, I was sort of thinking that winter wouldn't be some big deal with 1/2 doors. I might just store my full doors and never look back. Not selling them though. Never know if you want them back. I will say the Jeep looks way better without full doors and 1/2 doors are way lighter to say the least. Those damn full doors are heavy.
One thing with the twill top, the sides are lighter in color. I think I will contact bestop about this. I suppose I could figure out a way to make them darker though. They are in very good shape.
Heated seats - install these for $40 bucks, was pretty easy, just undid the first couple hog rings and they slid right in. work almost too well

I have thought about this. Will the drug addict cut the door window or my brand new $1,000 bestop to get in? Or just leave the doors open with Kentrol lock bolts? Would be great to hear advice on this and best route to take. I am ordering crap to make things right, or at least try to. lol
I'm not familiar with the Kentrol lock bolts but they sound like a good idea. I tried to keep things simple ... and it didn't cost anything to detach the locks from the interior handles.
never knew about the kentrol lock bolts, will have to look into them, my deductible is $500 so I would basically be losing my half doors if they are stolen.

I think IMO 2 seconds or 2 minutes, if they like the door, they will take it. Locked or not.
Are the half doors easier to remove than the fulls? I remove my full doors every spring and it takes a few minutes of swinging effort to pull them free. It isn't a casual snatch and grab event, by any means.
Technically no. Full doors are bigger and a lot heavier and therefore harder to stash into something to haul away quickly. They're also a lot more of them and they cost less compared to half doors, so why bother. Half doors are relatively rare and one guy could walk off with a pair of them under his arms.
