Half door slider leak

The half door uppers have leaked since I got the Jeep, until recently it hasn’t been a big problem. The leak is coming from near where the inside plate butts up against the window frame. I’ve got a couple ideas and wanted some extra opinions.
1. Unscrew the plastic plate on the inside and cut a piece of rubber/foam to make a gasket.
2. Fill the thing full of silicone.

I have the tarp with clear plastic zip window on mine and so pictures will help us a bit.

That’s exactly why I hate mine. Worst invention ever.

Right where the arrow is appears to be 2 halves of a plate that pull together with a screw to form the window track that it slides on. I think I could make a gasket to put in between these 2 to make the window sill water tight, so far my problem has been with freezing water forcing the silicone out.

Not so much an answer, as having the same problem along the top. I’m leaning toward silicone and a clamp for a day. I’m not sure how the top edge is suppose to be held tight. Seems to have pulled away a little.

Not a suggestion but thank you for pointing this out. Going to pay closer attention to mine now and see if this issue develops.
