Hard top lift gate lock

has anybody got any simple methods they use to stop their liftgate from swinging open then they remove the hardtop. Can take or a band be tied around the struts?

WD-40 is too often thought of by some as a good lubricant. It's not, and it wasn't designed to be a lubricant. Technically, it is classified as a solvent. As a lubricant it has two big problems... 1) It's so thin that it evaporates too soon. 2) It's so thin that it isn't a good lubricant.

Why did you have to ruin the flow chart with useful knowledge? ;)
 
I just tried scotch tape a couple weeks ago and it didn't work so well lol I then rummaged through the garage more and found some duct tape.
