Hard top question

Newbie here. I just bought an 06 Wrangler X with a soft top, but it has full, metal doors. Will these doors work with a hard top, or do I need to buy special doors? I found a used top only, $850, no doors and needs paint.

Yup they'll work with that top. Just FYI, jeep had the option of buying with both soft and hard tops that could be swapped back/forth

Yes, not a problem at all. The TJ Hardtops for 1997-2002 and for 2003-2006 will work on your 2006, and they will work with your full doors.

The hardtop wiring to the wiper and defrost is the next challenge for you unless you have the buttons

it'll work, just remove the upper portion of the door surrounds that the soft top tucks into prior to setting the hardtop on. iirc its just 4 bolts in total with knob handles threaded into the top of the roll cage, then the surround lifts off.

also look for some mucket seals if your going over to a hardtop unless you already have them in place.
