Help,,,, I just bought a 2004 Hard top for my 2005 and I bought the wiring kit for same, I have looked at crappy instruction sheet 1000 times and think I have it right but I don't. The washer and wiper are working right. The defroster switch light does not come on but the defroster stays on. I did not relaize that so this morning the battery is totally dead. I have followed sheets to the T but somewhere I have done something wrong and I need help. If I cannot get it right what Can i unhook so I can use the washer and wiper but not the defroster. Really don't need it here in North Carolina so no Biggee!!!!!!! Right now the only way to turn off defroster is to unhook battery.

Sorry I can't help you Frank but I need to do the same job on my '04 LJ. It was purchased by the original owner with a soft top only. I picked up most of the necessary pieces (switches, double pump washer bottle, etc.). I planned to make my own harness. Where did you get your wiring kit (and washer hose?) and how much did it cost? I didn't even know they are available. Thanks, Stew

jeepsareus.com had the kits for 138.88 with everything. for 2003 to 2006 hard tops and jeeps. Great kit with everything but install instructions are terrible. every forum that I have looked at has posts just like this, step 24 and 25 are very slack. but if you get it figured out it should be good. Good Luck PC06.

Thanks! I've "almost" learned how to interpret Chinese instruction manuals into English so if it's anything similar ...
... how hard can it be? :D

The instructions are just pictures of each step and point and show what and where to put the different wires, switches, etc. No written explanations. Plus some of the pics are generic so it will not look just like yours maybe. Still a good kit and lots of posted things on here for help.
