Headlight adjustment issues help

yea i could do that but seems a waste for 2 screws that id rather have brand new. this can't be the only vehicle this screw was used on could it? also don't want to have to buy an entire assembly.

I have a broken nutsert in one of my baskets. It caused one headlight to bounce terrible and drive me, anyone else, but mainly my wife when she was in front of me (lol) CRAZY.
I cut out a small block of styrofoam over a year ago that I put between the basket and mount on the body where it threads in to hold the adjustment in the basket. It’s been fine ever since!!

Were they the crown or Omix? They don’t have actual mopar. Worried about the crown because the reviews are poor and the Omix don’t have enough reviews to know if they’re any good
Regardless of the reviews they are better than the ones you have now. Even if they only last half as long as the ones you are replacing they are still likely to last longer than you own your jeep.
You can’t replace them, I pulled the stripped screw out and cut a slot in it so I could adjust it with a flathead screwdriver. Problem is once you pull themout they don’t hold in place anymore
Both are an exact copy of the Mopar ones, improved as the adjustment screw is phillips instead torx.
I just change mines on the LJ, no took any picture but if you need them I can remove it later.
I when with the whole bucket replacement as the adjustment screws were so rusty that strip the thread on the plastic base.
Possibly. I’m gonna give the Omix reproduction versions. I let you all know if they’re junk or not
I had a few that ended up being stripped. I ended up pulling out the assembly and turning them out from the back side. I then replaced them with bolts like this guy did and used a nyloc as Mr Blaine suggests later in the thread. Worked perfect and will never strip.
