Heat only works while moving

This is a weird one, but I’ll do my best to explain.

When I have the heat on, and I stop at a light or a sign, it shuts off. When I start to move again, it turns back on.

It gradually turns off, not suddenly. When I start moving again, it gradually turns back on.

It doesn’t matter what setting it is in. It could be full blown on my feet, or in the lowest setting at my face. It acts the same no matter what.

It seems like the fan is broken and the air is blowing in on it’s own, but I can hear the fan working when I’m moving.

I’m completely lost, and I’m worried about the cold weather. I’m a greedy bastard and I don’t want do be cold for 1-3 minutes while I’m at a light or a stop sign.

Yes, I still have warm air but it can get cold inside because nothing is being blown out.

Could this be a vacuum issue? Idle, low rpms and vents don’t work right. Higher rpms and the vacuum returns. Grasping at straws here.

so the fan never stops running? As in, the speed knob is controlling it correctly but when you stop, despite hearing the fan continuing to run, you get no air? Just trying to wrap my head around this one.

I suppose I'd start by replacing the blower motor.

I have the same issue but when I’m stop you can hear the blower motor on and running but it’s not blowing out of any of the venta
