As I’ve been on forum for a few weeks now taking advantage of your collective knowledge thought I should say hello. First to explain the thread title. I grew up, and most of my family lives, in MO. Once it arrives my new to me LJ will live in MO. I have been living and working in Manila Philippines for 7 years. I actually don’t own a car here in Manila as I live within walking distance of work, traffic is horrendous and anything I might want is outrageously expensive. A Wrangler 2.0 Sport starts at around P3,400,000 (~$66k).
My younger brother is going to look after and build LJ so is ready when I move back to US. Yes he most certainly is getting better end of this deal.
I‘ve had 4 Jeeps over the years but was young and foolish enough to not take care of or get rid of all of them. My first was a 98 TJ. I actually drove it stock (I know the horror) for about 4 yrs before the build bug bit me hard. The older blue XJ (maybe a 95?) was a bit of impulse buy as I wanted another Jeep. It was rough to say the least so I passed it on to young kid and his dad who wanted a project to work on together. The yellow 01 XJ was to become a beast but never got more than 30” used tires before it moved on. The white 98 XJ was swapped for a mini which admittedly was more economical and fun for where I lived at the time.
