Help: bad transmission noise

Hey all,

Over the past week or so my Wrangler has developed this awful transmission noise. It sounds like a jack hammer on concrete. The noise goes away when I press down on the clutch pedal and returns when it is released. I did a clutch replacement about a year using the Luk clutch kit. I maybe have put 4500 miles on it since.

2004 Wrangler 2.4 with an AX-5 manual transmission.

Here is a video of the noise from the other night, I have not driven it since. I would appreciate some advice on what it may be before I drop it tomorrow and take a look.

Bumping this. I got delayed pulling the tranny and will be doing it Saturday. Can anyone else chime in?

I hope it’s not the input shaft bearing as I believe I have to tear down the tranny. Anyone else hear this type of sound and solve it?
