My 2009 Jeep Wrangler Sahara has 115k and my engine light has been on for the last few months. I have ran the codes a few times and it first was running the O2 sensor code and now its running just the catalytic converter code (0430). My gas mileage has been fine, but I have noticed a rusty squeaking sound from my muffler when I go over bumps in the road. I'm debating trading in for a new wrangler, or fixing the problem and seeing how many more years I can get out of it. Any opinions on what to do??

Autozone told me it'll be minimum $1500. Do Jeeps start having a lot of issues after 100k? This is my first Wrangler; I love it, but I don't want a bunch of problems to start after forking out $1500 for the cat. I'm in a pickle, if I didn't just buy a house 3 months ago this would be a much easier problem to figure out.

I know nothing about the JKs, but it sounds like you've potentially got a bad cat and a bad O2 sensor(s). That could add up very quickly, especially on a JK, where parts seem to be twice as much as on a TJ.
I think this one is up to you. If I was told it was going to cost $1500 to fix versus trading it in (or selling it) for a new Wrangler, I'd probably choose the latter. The only reason I say that is because the 2012+ Wranglers have the Pentastar V6, which is far superior to the 3.8 minivan engine that is in your 2009.
