Anyone have any idea what this leak could be? Appears to be from the rear of the transmission and front of the transfer case.
(98 TJ 4.0 with Ax-15 and np231 with 98k)
The four bolts on the transmission mount are always a little wet. However the four bolts that are accessible from underneath are bone dry. I’m the middle of an overhaul and haven’t checked fluid levels yet but trans shifts great and 4wd works.
Doesn’t drip and seems very slow. Gonna drop the tranny an t case here in a few days/weeks to get a better look and hopefully fix it. Would like to get the parts before hand if possible. Hoping it’s just a seal or something. Will probably change every seal I can while I have everything pulled. Thanks!!
