A couple years back my first car, a 2004 jeep wrangler rubicon (see photos), was totalled in a wreck when I was rear ended, causing frame damage. At the time, I didn’t have the time, money, or space to repair the jeep, so unfortunately I had to take the check and buy another car. Later that year I pulled a carfax report that stated the jeep had been bought on auction and retitled with a rebuilt title near Dunn NC. If you know anything about a jeep similar to this, please let me know! I miss my jeep, as it was a gift from my father, as well as my first car, and I would like to purchase it back. Details on the jeep below, at least as it was when wrecked.

Black 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
>206,000 miles
Five speed manual
2.5 inch spacer lift
33” Yokohama geolander M/T
Wrecked rear end, rear most frame member bent inwards, pushing gas tank into rear differential
One of the diff lockers doesn’t work (I forget which)
Missing front fender flares
quadratec soft top
crack running up driver side of windshield
Have VIN upon request

That's a tall order. I'm not sure you're going to have much luck but I certainly wish you the best in finding it!

One of the restrictions on personally requesting the info from NC DMV "for research purposes" is that you cannot contact them.

PI's are able to get the information and don't appear to be barred from initiating contact, not sure how much a PI would charge you to do a quick search.

Here's the official information form, the requirements are on the second page:
