so last weekend when i brought my 59 home the jeep wouldn't start and needed to be winched up the driveway. I have been procrastinating about buying a battery so I broke down and bought one and now the jeep won't start. it cranks but no fuel pressure. jumped across the 2 posts on the relay and got fuel pressure. checked all the fuses and they all checked ok. any ideas would be appreciated

I would think it was the relay.
But you should check the signal wire to the relay to see if it is giving you voltage.

Hmm....... now you run into lots of trouble shooting.

To me it almost sounds like the ignition switch. But its hard to say. The headlights are permanent power. Do you have any other issues. Like radio wont turn on?
