Help with driveline vibration

I am new to Jeeps, but have done a lot of fabrication work of all kinds. Just for kicks, check your welds on the work and any others for that matter. Possible you have a weld that is failing, especially if it is at torque application at initial movement.

Need some input on a driveline vibration I’ve developed...

I know the proper repair for this is a SYE w/DC driveshaft. That is coming in the future, but isn’t in the works for a bit. Any suggestions?

Beyond the obvious driveline angle totally whacked out for an SC setup, am I the only one seeing something quite wrong with the TC o/p spline shaft? Look at the angle of the spline yoke relative to the slinger where the boot is attached. Some used bearings, older ones used bushings. Give that a good up and down wiggle!

Checked the welds, nothing looks like it’s failing. The guy I had do the rust work has done tons of Jeeps and been in the fab business for 30+ years. He’s always got them sitting outside his shop for frame repair.

When I dropped the rear shaft, to see if vines went away, I did not notice any play. May just be the angle I snapped the photo, but I will check that specifically when I get home today.

I’m pretty convinced that it’s the angle of the rear driveshaft. Next mods are SYE with DC shaft and U-joints for the front. Guess we will see where I’m at then.

Hey I appreciate the the extra set of eyes, and ideas. Sometimes it just takes someone else that isn’t constantly staring at it to take a gander. Like my jacked up shaft angle. I didn’t even notice it to be honest, and I know that angle is wrong for the setup haha! It’s crazy how It ran smooth as silk, until the frame rotted and skid fell off and I replaced all the mounts. One of those things that make you go, huh.. can’t wait until I can afford to get it fixed!! Having withdraws. Don’t help that the weather is starting to turn for the better here in Indiana as well!
