I'll definitely have to look into that. I avoid maintenance because it's a pain getting around these skids.

The other thing that makes dropping the skid not a big deal is using an aluminum skid. So much lighter, easily do it by yourself.

I've done the Rokmen 1/4" steel skid by myself. The trick is laying under it and accepting that no matter how heavy it is when it falls it's coming down on top of you. I haven't been crushed yet.

Yes! I didn't think of over lapping a cut like that. For me, this would be easier than drilling out all the holes on a new skid.

It just so happens I have a stack of cutting wheels and flapper discs that I could burn up on a project like this.

No, I ended up selling the jeep before I could get around to it.

I’m currently in a jku, but will definitely get another tj when the kids get older.
