Hey y'all, from rural NC! I am an owner of a 2004 Jeep Wrangler. I've had this Jeep for 12 years and initially went to work on the project right away. Lots of upgrades including a 6" lift and 35s (because we do a lot of rock crawling on the coast of NC ) front bumper, warn winch, KC lightbar/lights, neoprene seats to match, SYE. In all honesty I was young and foolish and went for bad ass looks instead of being realistic. Fast forward a few years, I got pregnant with baby number 1 and started having issues getting in and out of the jeep. The last sentence on repeat x 3.....So the jeep sat, and I looked at it just dreaming. A set of tires dry rotted and after replacing them the Jeep sat again. Hasnt been inspected in 4 years and questionable rust in some areas but...... Now 6 years later my 3 girls are old enough that I can tinker a little and even get all of us in and out it without issue. So the Jeep is being resurrected. I came to this forum for guidance along the way. Now older and at a different stage of life I so wish I had of been smarter about the lift and tire size but hindsight is 20/20. The plans now are to begin updating where necessary and inspecting every nook and cranny. My husband is supervising and I am doing every bit of the work I can, with his help as needed. I'm looking forward to hearing from the Jeep gods along the way and learning all I can from y'all. May start a build thread to have a way of documenting progress .
